Can any body hlep with the right meaning of the function here?
The original text is
"Component & Services function produces plastic and metal parts, tooling and production equipment for motion related products."
The 'Component & Services' are capitalized.
I would say "コンポーネントおよびサービス事業部では．．．。"
Can I assume the 'function' as a section?
Any help will be appreciated.

PJCさん、こんにちは。答えがついていなかったので、もう出されたとは思いますが...
一応Notes に上がっているリンクをちらっと見せてもらったのですが、これが自動車関連、機械関係なら、Component はカタカナではなく構成部品と訳すことが多いです。例えば、モーターが親部品なら、その子孫部品をひっくるめて構成部品とします。構成材料となると、例えは合金など、組成とか素材を意味するので、普通はこちらを使いません。
PJCさんはたしか車はよくご存知でしたよね？（そろそろコンパチの季節ですね）。Ａ社の車といっても、エンジンはＢ社、で、そのパーツは無数の他の会社が作っているのがほとんどで、純正あり、代替ありとまあ色々ですが、その各種構成部品の製造とサービス業務を指していると思います。
