formative experiences

I would say "formative experiences", see a Japanese and an English definition below:

原体験:人の思想形成に大きな影響を及ぼす幼少時の体験
(from Kojien)

Formative experience is the everyday life we lived growing up and the know-how we develop as a result. More often than not, the know-how develops beyond our awareness.

Thank you!
agree Minoru Kuwahara : in view of definition, you presented a good reference; i'd agree as the experience in this case refers to what you experience, therefore, view, listen, learn, whatever, without your knowing it. -

genuine experiences

I'm totally guessing, but it sounds like the 原 is added for emphasize, and saying the "original," "unique," "genuine" experiences.

Sounds like the sentence is saying something along the lines of:

"...the genuine experiences vary greatly across generations for those raised in such an environment."

Good luck.
