"limited company" in both cases would work too; but generally one traslates it plainly as "corporation" in this context.

: This is true, but be very careful with 株式会社 when it is part of a company name: there are many ways this is used, and each company often has a different way. Inc., Corporation, Limited, Co. Ltd., etc.
