Somebody asked me which of the following two sentences is correct regarding the use of と. Both seem correct to me and I can't differentiate. Can anybody help?
1. テレビ番組についてどうと思いますか。
2. テレビ番組についてどう思いますか。
1. テレビ番組についてどうと思いますか。
2. テレビ番組についてどう思いますか。

What do you think about them?
Your second option (どう思います?)is correct. You should only use the particle と in a case like this to indicate an exact thought, or quote. For example, if you say どうと思います?、what you are really asking is, "Do you think ”どう”?”But since you are asking, "What do you think about them?", then the correct phrase is どう思います? Comment: "Thanks to all who replied. Yes, my first hunch was (2) too. But doing a search regarding (1) on google gives me 22 hits too. And these are used by native Japanese. Obviously some Japanese make the same mistake regarding the use of "to". Thanks for clarifying the usage!"

1.…どうと思いますか。is definitely wrong not only grammatically but sounds awful.
