How to activate Trados

I rarely use Trados as it seems to be a never-ending source of trouble, but today is one of those days where I have to use it.

But clicking on its icon brings up a dialog box "License expired". I check with the SDL accounts page confirms that I have a never-ending license with no expiry date. So I copy the activation code on the Licenses page, click Activate, which brings up the Online Activation page. I paste the activation code in and click Activate. An error box pops up, stating

An error box pops up, stating "Activation failed. Could not connect to the activation server. Check the activation server address in the provider settings. - The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."

So I click Alternative activation options, then Connection settings, then Test internet connection. A box pops up Internet connectivity check succeeded.

I have no idea what is going on here. What is the activation server address and where do I find the provider settings? Why do I need to know this? How do I proceed so I can get on with my job?

Otherwise just try deactivating and reinstalling license. Might do the trick, but I am no expert.
