other forms of controlled language existed before Simplified English Nov 11, 2010

Simplified English is only one specific flavor of a range of versions that have usually fallen within the classification of Controlled Languages. The AECMA (now ASD) was birthed in the aeronautical field, yet several other controlled languages for Englishes were in existence before the AECMA standard. Good for non-native English speakers Nov 12, 2010

Expanding Internet communication accelerates use of English. The simplified English is generally acceptable now due to speedy e-mail etc. which is not easy for non-English speakers.
