Just hoping Nov 21, 2012

his retirement is not happening on the account of recently having acquired an iphone, because if that's the case, we should sue for damages:

We'll have to see... Nov 21, 2012

We'll have to see if he sticks to this decision or if (in a parallel to the famous case of Brett Favre) we soon receive news of a forthcoming novel.

This does raise the interesting question of how many writers actually stopped writing (either altogether, or just in one modality) when they were in full possession of their physical and intellectual powers.

Only J.D. Salinger springs to mind.
