Maybe, but I used it when I was speaking and never thought about how I should write it out.

And that definition is exactly what I meant when I called my phone a “dumb phone”—in contrast to “smart phones” (which I have always written as two words until a month ago).

PS: The spelling “smart phone” (two words) is actually pretty common (e.g., try to search for it on rim.com). You could even say that until a month ago or so I used to consider it a spelling mistake to spell it as one word…
